European Junior Padel Championships 2024 in Budapest

Budapest was the venue for this year's European Junior Padel Championships, which attracted young talents from all over Europe. The tournament, organised by International Padel Federation (FIP) in cooperation with the Hungarian Padel Federation, took place from 1 to 7 September 2024

More than 20 national teams participated in the tournament, competing in various age categories from U14 to U18.The format was group matches followed by knockout matches.

The Czech junior boys' padel team experienced a sad end to their journey at the European Championships in Budapest when they narrowly failed to qualify and lost to Germany in the deciding match. Although the Czech team narrowly failed to qualify, they showed that they have the potential to become strong players at international level. This tournament was a valuable experience and motivation for them in the future.

In the boys' main competition, the favoured Spain won against France. The third place went to Sweden.

The girls' padel team had a difficult position from the beginning and had to cope with favoured opponents. In the end the girls took 12th place. The girls' national team gained valuable experience that will help them in future competitions.

The tournament of pairs of individual age categories was dominated by the favoured Spaniards.

The European Junior Championships in Budapest showed that padel is a sport with a growing popularity and talented young players who have a promising future ahead of them. The tournament not only brought exciting matches, but also strengthened international cooperation and friendship between young athletes.
